If you are going to college, it is crucial that you take a few important things with you to keep the transition as smooth as possible. Transforming your dorm into your home for a few months or years to come is not so easy. Here is a list of a few important things to carry with you to the dorm or apartments near University of Manitoba:
Comfortable Bedding
You probably have to bring your own bedding with you. Choose some cozy sheets to make you feel at home while you at the dorm. Do not forget to bring a few pillows and a comforter as well. The bedroom probably isn’t as cozy as your bed so you can add an extra degree of comfort with a foam mattress pad.
Laundry Bags
It is important to organize your room and laundry bags can help you accomplish that. Buy a laundry bag from your next department store instead of throwing your dirty clothes around the entire place. When the time comes to do the washing, it will be much simpler.
Supplies
Basic equipment may not be included such as spoons, scissors, cable openers, or plates. Ensure these things are placed on your list. When you have a couple of mates or buy food you want to put back in your room, they will be helpful.
Entertainment
Dorm life can be very boring if you have no entertainment outlet. Take a TV, a radio, films, video games, and any other gadget that you like for your own enjoyment! Please be aware that this can also be distracting. Make sure you have the discipline to turn off when it is time to study.
Breakfast Bites
You may miss many breakfasts, especially in the days when you’re studying early in the morning. Make sure you have some breakfast foods that you can depend on to stop rumbling your stomach during the morning lesson. One smart idea is to purchase the powdered protein shakes, blend them with water or milk to drink for breakfast.
Extra Electrical Outlets
You also need some additional electrical outlets to charge the phone, run the TV or radio in your dorm. Please note to bring some extension cords with you. You may also invest in today’s industry smart Wi-Fi plugs.
Arrange A Small Bed-Side Table
If you have a small space and need to organize it a little, it will come handy.
